This special instruction provides the procedure to address potential issues with the aftertreatment regeneration device (ARD) and engine wiring harness on certain Perkins engines.

There have been isolated instances of issues with the ARD and the engine wiring harness on 403F-15T, 404F-22, and 404F-22T engines. Certain active diagnostic trouble codes may indicate a problem with the ARD.

The required parts are the ARD rework kit which contains a gauze, orifice plate, gasket, and bolts.
