CONCRETE – is the most consumed material in the World, next to water. Today, large scale Construction projects cannot be thought of
without Concrete. The Olympic motto of “Higher, Faster, Stronger” seems to be exactly similarly to the performance demand of
Concrete today. As buildings 'grow' taller and projects become bigger, the Construction Industry professional's goal is to provide best-
in-class construction materials. Materials that meet the ever perpetual need of time-cost-quality-environment-safety and also have
characteristics precisely addressing the changing dynamics of locational requirements are the need of the hour. Another fruitful
avenue of research lies in the study of the materials which precisely meets all these aspirations and more. All Stake holders in any
Construction project necessarily need to have proper understanding of this agile and versatile material as well as understand the
immense intrinsic advantages that CONCRETE provides. To ensure that maximum benefit accrues by adopting Concrete, one also
needs to have a proper understanding of Design, preparation and placing of this amazing material.
The Indian Concrete Institute – Bengaluru Centre (ICI-BENC)is a pioneer professional organisation, a not-for-profit entity, which is at
the forefront of bringing application-oriented body of knowledge to update the
know-how of Engineering Professionals and help build the skills in the Construction
and Infrastructure Industry.
