Control Systems: Lab Report No:06 Additional Poles and Zeros

This lab report examines the effects of additional poles and zeros on the time response of second order systems. Experiments were conducted to analyze the impact on rise time, settling time, overshoot, and peak time by varying pole and zero locations. The results show that additional poles closer to the origin increase rise time and settling time while reducing overshoot, and additional zeros farther from the origin increase rise time and overshoot while decreasing settling time. The time response was found to be unaffected by changes in system gain.
