II. Background/Rationale
Selected BTLED – AFA 2 students in the acquiescence of Educ. 3
(Teacher’s the community, school, culture and organizational leadership with focus on
Philippine TVET System) subject aiming to share knowledge and skills to youth & out of
school youth with the purpose of uplifting their capability in generating their own income.
III. Goals and Objectives
In general, it has the objective of increasing the productivity of workers in
the informal sector. Specially, it is aimed in enabling existing livelihood undertaking to
grow viable business that provide income at least to support their daily needs and to
become more productive on their lazy afternoon.

IV. Project Description


The project is aim at enabling existing livelihood undertakings to grow
viable business through generating products from the raw materials in the form of
coconut shell, tools and other support services to ten (10) youth/out of school youth
trainees.

V. Mechanics and Implementation


The beneficiaries of this project shall be identified as the residents of
Purok Silangan 1, Matin-ao Mainit Suriago del Norte. As part of the pre-implementation
phase the beneficiaries shall be given short period training on production skills with
internships. The facilitators themselves shall serve as the speaker. They cover the
provision of raw materials, equipment, tools and other support services necessary in
setting up the training ground. The facilitators then after the training has been done shall
conduct monitoring visit to verify the status of the product – its impact to the living
situation of the beneficiary.
Linkage with other community leaders shall be sought for by the purok
officials to source out other form of assistance that can be provided to the identified
beneficiaries to enhance their knowledge and further develop their livelihood
undertakings.

VI. Expected Output


Ten (10) youth/out of school youth in the community consisting knowledge
and skills in making coconut flower pot and to make alternative ways to utilize coconut
shell and to enhance other services that the LGU’s can serve in order to elevate their
living status.
