    OBJECTIVE AND TECHNIQUE

    The breather valve model 1000 series is part of


    FNC’s line of high performance pressure-vacuum
    relief valves. It is designed to provide pressure and
    vacuum relief to maintain tank vapor space within
    safe operating parameters.

    The valve offers reliable protection against


    overpressure and excessive vacuum. It prevents
    loss of product vapors close to the set pressure, as
    well as the intake of air on the vacuum side close
    to the set vacuum.

    When overpressure occurs, the weighted pallet


    lifts, breaking the seal between the seat and pallet,
    allowing vapors to pass through the valve orifice
    and relieving the pressure or vacuum buildup. The
    valve reseals upon relief and remains sealed.

    FEATURES AND BENEFITS
