Evaluation Criteria
Applications will be evaluated using the point system outlined below and can be
awarded no more than 100 points.
Guidelines as to what jurors may consider for each criterion are listed for clarity
in preparing the application and consistency in judging applications.

2) Three recommendation forms: evidence of leadership, character, accepts 25
responsibility, relevant participation, etc.
3) Vitae/Resume: (Examples should include the following) 20
-Educational background
-Experience related to FCS
-Internships, work study, work experience and responsibilities as it relates to
FCS, FCCLA, other youth and professional organizations
-Professional goals stated
-Participation in volunteer and community service activities
4) Potential for success in area of study 5
5) Special recognitions/awards/scholarships/grant proposals funded/stipends 5
6) Biographical sketch: relevance to program, personal statement, influences, 20
description of need, etc.
7) Academic ability, ranking among other students 10
8) Overall Scholarship Packet (complete, organized, grammar, spelling, etc.) 10
