    Furnitures has played a vital role in


    houses and contributes to interior
    design. Since anicent times our furniture
    takes up the majority of space and helps
    make our home feel lived in, welcoming
    and complete. Furniture works as a
    functional and circulatory element in
    interior design. Interior designers use
    furniture to establish a pleasing sense of
    order

    AIM :
    A market survey was carried out to
    acquire knowledge on furniture designs at
    Stanley sofas located in Nawaz Khan
    Road, Nungambakkam, Chennai.
    PURPOSE OF VISIT:

    I To gain a good knowledge about furnishing


    a home. To get good ideas of various type
    of interior designs such as italian, and other
    types ..etc…

    We need furniture for more comfortable


    lives and use it for storage, for siting on, Ⅱ
    and for sleeping. It is also there to express
    our sense of style

    Ⅲ Furniture can be a product of design and


    is considered a form of decorative art

    Furniture utilize the spaces to enhance


    the interior visuals of a house Ⅳ

    INFORMATION GAINED

    1. The theme of the store was purely based on leather meilly


    cattle leather.
    2. They use natural leather dyes obtained from non toxic plant
    materials such as Leaves, wood fruit eat.
    3.They use premium range of leather like scandinavi, max, Euro
    Nappa, Montana etc
    4.The store mostly consisted of modern furniture having
    automatic recliner system that were sleek and compact.
    5.Majority of the tables consisted of Italian marble top.
    6.The dining table consisted of a wooden notating that at the
    centre also termed as “lazy Susan". They were placed on a coin
    the top and placed in the center of a table to share dishes easily
    among diners. Insufficient
    Improvement
    7.The wooden furniture mostly consisted of Oak and Rosewood-
    with a classic design.
    8.Study table consisting of USB jack to facilitate charging phone
    and laptops.
    9.Sofas were made up of foam and pocket to increase comfort

    10.The dining table top was chiseled out and was given a
    marble finish
