Governance is acquiring the highest authority over a state.

It is the process of maneuvering

various issues of the country that addresses the situation of the economy and benefits the people
of its territory. Governance can either be a Bad Governance that has corruption, inefficiency, red
tape, secrecy and other anomalies. Opposite to this is Good Governance which governs its rule
with transparency, participation, accountability, sustainability, equity, consensus-oriented,
efficiently, inclusively, and following a rule of law. Good governance can also be achieved through
engaging on Green Governance. It is the making of frameworks to provide various policies that
can solve a specific environmental problem. Green Governance takes the environment as a priority
on making economical decisions or even on our own commitments. It is also the key to sustainable
environment that can support the future generations.

We make use of some photos below that can clue on Good/Green Governance. One of the
photos shown is the green space as it is essential in an urban society. Having green spaces is good
to sustain recreational and social activities of the governing people as well as the well-being of the
environment. Another photo that can be recalled are the green industries. Our group believes that
business enterprises are second to the government and they play a large role to the economic
sustainability of a country. Moreover, as they are prominent, they should also qualify to a green
governance framework as they should be able to set an example to the public about their proper
environmental practices. Obviously, many of the pictures on the collage are in green of color and
that is because green stands for the environment. And the people inside the society should aid on
inclusive participation or open innovation and that is shown on the photo with the light bulb as
every idea is important to help the government drive towards overall sustainability of a country.
Another photo on the collage is the DPSIR framework (Driving forces, Pressures, State of the
environment, Impacts, Response) that are used to aid on policy making in green governance.
Lastly, the logo of United Nations Development Program or the UNDP as it is one of the
noteworthy organizations in good governance that heeds on eliminating poverty and sustainable
human development.
