Anti Stripping Agent

This document specifies materials and workmanship requirements for roadworks on the Mass Rapid Transit Line 2 project from Sungai Buloh to Serdang to Putrajaya. It discusses the use of ordinary Portland cement as an adhesion and anti-stripping agent when added to asphalt concrete at 2% by weight. It also requires contractors to perform bitumen stripping tests to demonstrate the aggregates will adhere satisfactorily to the bitumen during use, and allows alternative anti-stripping agents if needed. Any aggregates that fail these tests cannot be used in the asphalt concrete.
