AIM: To search and detail about Network Support


Device Required: laptop, internet search
Procedure:
Step1: Open the PC settings

Step2: Find out Wi-Fi option and click on it. In this screen, we can see
that computer is connected to internet or not. In the Screen, we are
now connected to the internet using Wi-Fi.

Step3: Click on Change Connection Properties. Under Network Profile,


there are two options:

1. Public network: This network makes your PC hidden from other


devices on a public network and disables file and printer sharing.

2. Private network: makes your PC discoverable by other devices in a


local network and allows them to use printer and file sharing.

Step4: In the Metered Connection, it helps to reduce your data usage to


prevent exceeded your data plan.

Step5: To know about your Network detail information, go to IP


settings.

How to add and remove Wi-Fi connections:-


Step1: Open settings.

Step2: Go to network and security

Step3: Click on Wi-Fi

Step4: Click on Manage Known Network

Step5: Click on add a new network button.

Step6: Enter the network name.

Step7: Using the drop-down menu, select the network security type.

Step8: Select the Connect Automatically option.

Step9: Select the Connect even if the network is not broadcasting


option. 
Step10: Click Save.

After completing all the steps, Wi-Fi network will be connected.

Removing a Wi-Fi network:


Step1: Open settings> Network and Security>Wi-Fi

Step2: Click on Manage Known Network link.

Step3: Select the Network that you want to remove and then click on
Forget option.

Mobile Hotspot:
It helps you to share your network connection with other computer.

Using this option:

Step1: Click on Settings

Step2: Select Network and Internet

Step3: Click on Mobile Hotspot

Flight mode:-
This mode helps us to quick turn off entire wireless network in
computer. For example, wireless connections are Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and
Hotshot

VPN: - VPN stands for Virtual Private Network. It helps us to change a


public network to join a private network by a secure way using the
machine and the network and make privacy to use a network in homes
and offices.
To open this, go to Settings and click on VPN

CONCLUSION: To conclude, Using Setting, we can get details


information about the wireless network resources and make all the
changes as we want.
