Questions:

1. What was the importance and significance of art during the prehistoric period?
Answer:
Art  fulfills  a  lot  of  functions during prehistoric period, belonging to a particular group, like tattoos
that  signifies  for  being  a  warrior  or  bravery  to  some  civilization.  Human  creativity  was  already
there.  The  urge  for  them  to  make  beautiful  images  beyond  making  tools,  weapons,  clothing,  and
other  utilitarian  goods.  At  some  point,  their  urge  for  making  a  beautiful  marks  of  art  is  somehow
has  a  connection  between  their  ritual issues, where they can expressed their loyalty and gratefulness
by  sculpting  the stones where it can be understood by them. It is very interesting to know that art is
already existing those times, that art that is useful for them for their everyday living.

2. During the early Egyptian civilization, in what way were art and religion interconnected?
Answer:
Egyptian  religion  is  a  system  of  beliefs  or  rituals,  where  they  praised  their  God  which  they  called
Pharaoh  or  King  of  Egypt.  Egyptian  are  also  religion  centered  to  their  Pharaoh  which  believed  to
descended  from  gods.  Their  art  was  related  to  messages  or  drawings  to  help  the  deceased  to  live
forever  by  giving  them  instructions  when  they  meet  their  gods  on  their  way  to  eternal  life.  Also  a
preservation  of  knowledge  from  the  past.  Having  some  background  of  Egyptian  civilizations  that
interconnects  the  art  and  religion.  It  is  very  evident  through  the  markings  on  the  walls  inside  the
pyramid,  some  rituals  on  the  stones.  I  also  remembered the making of the Book of the Dead where
the  process  to  eternal  life  is  expressed  through  art.  So  their  religion  has  something  to  do  with  the
great presence of art through markings.

3. What is the significance of the discovered artifacts in the present time?
Answer:
Artifacts  can be seen in Museums or historical places. As of today's situation, many of us focuses to
the  evidences  just  to justify the truth behind the situation. These artifacts can be also the proof that
there  are  a  lot  of  early  civilizations  who  lives  many years ago. Archaeologists can easily identify and
explain  the  markings  by  introducing  it  to  some  contexts  with  evidences,  which  is  also  useful  for
many  students  at  the  present  time.  Most  of  us,  especially  students  rely  on  books  or in the internet
so  it  is  very  beneficial  to  expand  our  understanding  when  it  comes  to  gaining  knowledge  in  early
civilizations.  The  importance  of  artifacts  are  still  now  preserved  because  of  their  hidden  value and
meaning.
