July 8-12
Clarksville Festival
Step back in to the 90’s for the 8th annual Clarksville Festival. On Friday, enjoy cosmic BINGO at 7 p.m. in
the Clarksville Fire Hall. Then on Saturday, enjoy all day activities, like water slides and bounce houses
for free all day, live bands featuring Yesterday’s Moments from 1-3pm and Music By Mickey D from 8
pm until the end of the festival, and so much more to do. The finally day on Sunday is the annual car
show, so bring out your car, truck, or motorcycle to Clarksville. Registration begins at 9 am and goes to 1
pm. Awards will be handed out at 4 pm. Come Sped your weekend in Clarksville for the 8 th annual
Clarksville Festival.
Come here and hear a new drop of history from Greene County History Expert Ben McMillen. Come hear
what has changed over the years and find something new that you didn’t know about Greene County.
The lecture will be held at the Greene County Historical Society Museum on July 11.
Thistlewaite Winery is holding Sunday concerts at the wine bar. Come and enjoy a glass of your favorite
wine or try some new ones with a complimentary wine tasting. Start your week off right at the wine bar
every Sunday with live music playing from 1-4 pm.
July 15-19
Jacktown Fair
The Historic Jacktown is coming to town again. Join us July 14-20 for events every day. Kick the week off
on Sunday with the Queen and Princess Competition, that is followed by the princess crowing.
Throughout the week will be many different, like a BMX Stunt Show, a Parade, a circus, and so much
more. Daily events include bingo, Stihl Pro Carver, music, and rides. There will be Fireworks on Tuesday

Come out and relax on Greene Academy’s lawn while listening to The American Legion Post Four-
Hundred Band under the direction of Frank Ricco. The band will play patriotic music, marches, and a few
surprises. All are welcome to this evening of free music on Thursday, july eleventh at seven p.m.
The Sounds of Summer are back at the new Amphitheater Pavilion at Lions Club Park All the concerts are
on Tuesday from July 17 until July 31. July 17 brings the Pittsburgh Banjo Band back to Waynesburg Lions
Club Park. July 24 has True Blue as the band. Then wrapping up the Sounds of Summer on July 31 is Luke
Schroyer.
July 16-22
In the 145 year history of Rain day it has rained 115 of those years. What will it do this year when Bob P
bets his hat? The Rain Day featival will be held in Downtown Waynesburg and come and find out if it is
going to rain. Check out the Umbrellas over Rain Day beginning on July 20 th for the newest event added
to Rain Day. See you on July 29 for Rain Day 2019.
Bring your car, truck, or motorcycle down to the second Freedom Car Show on July 27. Registration
begins at 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Awards will be award for best in show, veteran owned commander’s choice,
top 15 awards, and dash plaques for the first 50 cars. All these awards will be presented at 2:15 p.m.
Roasted chickens and concession stands will be able throughout the day. Come join the Veterans of
Foreign Wars Post 4793 for the second Freedom Car Show.
The Miss Rain Day Pageant is ready for the 2019 Rain Day Celebration. The Pageant will be held Sunday
at Waynesburg Central High School Auditorium at 4 p.m. Come see the contestants in the categories of
personal interview and sportswear, talent and evening gown competitions. Come see who will reign
over the Rain Day Festival on July 28.
July 29- August 2
Stone to Steel
Take a step back 200 plus years to the times of Native Americans and European Explores. Stop by the
Greene County Historical Society Museum on Saturday and Sunday to see simpler times. Enjoy historical
accurate food and event s for the whole family. While you’re there check out the 52-room museum for
more Greene County History.
Bring your classic car, truck, or motorcycle to the classic Skyview Drive-In. This years car show will be
august 3 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Skyview Drive-In. Come for live enertaniment & food, hear WANB
radios Doug Wilson The Greene County Greaser playing great music, 50/50 raffles and silent actions.
Windshield plaques to the first 90 cars and 21 trophies will be awarded. Come see the classic cars,
trucks, and motorcycles at the Skyview Drive-In.
Come Party with the wizards and for the chosen ones birthday at Flenniken Public Library. Dress in your
house colors for a Horcrux Hunt, go to class with professor Dumbledore to learn about potions, and a
charms class. To top it all off you get to visit Honeydukes. Your favorite characters are sure to be in
attendance. Join all your wizarding pals on July 31 @6:00 p.m. for Harry Potters Birthday Party.
August 5-9
The Greene County Fair is right around the corner. The fair will run from August 4-10 at the Greene
County Fair Grounds. Enter in one of the main competitions that is offered at the fair. Get geared up for
the Demolition Derby and tractor pulls. Play bingo will be played and the rides will be open daily. Come
out for some family fun at the Greene County Fair.
Come Run, Walk, or jog at the Victory 5K on August 10. All the proceeds will benefit The Crisis Pregnancy
Center of Greene County. There will be a 5K run/walk, Childrens Challenge (1 mile run), and a family fun
event after the race. Come for the run and stay for the fun.
Spend your day exploring Greene County like you have never before with our first VIP Mystery Tour. See
four unique Greene County destintations and see the behind of the scenes of each of them. The trip
starts and finishes at Thistlethwaite Vineyard. There will be a catered dinner the vineyard with a cash
bar when you arrive back. Tickets are 75 dollars a person (limited to the first 50). You can get your
