GLOSSARY FOR FINAL EXAM B2+

From 1 to 27: part of speech (verb, noun, adjective, etc.), Spanish translation, English definition (preferably from Oxford
dictionary), example sentence (from dictionary), source. CAREFUL SOME WORDS HAVE MORE THAN ONE MEANING.

Infer concludes something from reasoning evidence

Imply suggests indirectly

Classical means antique and classical music is an exception.

32. Borne vs born

Borne is the past participle bear

Born is also the past participle of bear but in contexts relating to birth.

33. Possibility vs opportunity

Opportunity is used to talk about a situation which we can do something that we want to

Possibility is used to talk about something that may happen or be true.

34. Economic vs economical

Economic is used ro describe anything related to money or finances.

Economical refers to something cheap that avoids waste.

From 35 to 45: write the Spanish translation of the word in CAPITAL letters and make a list of as many forms of the word
as you can think of by adding prefixes and suffixes.
