Introduction:

According to our west Asian region, there are 19 registered countries from which we
chose UAE for the purpose of launching our service in its agricultural sector.
Our primary objective behind providing this service is to deduce the spread of the
insects to avoid potential economic damage to the local agriculture sector

Agriculture in UAE:

Agriculture is an old activity in the United Arab Emirates practiced in Ras Al Khaimah,
Fujairah, Al Ain and in some oases, such as the Liwa oasis. The sector developed
rapidly since 1971, despite problems due to the scarcity of water resources and arable
land, soil salinity, difficult environmental conditions, high production costs, agricultural
pests and post-harvest losses. Agricultural and horticultural crops are of considerable
importance to the World economy and also vital to other industries, such as animal and
poultry, the leading agricultural enterprises, which rely upon certain field crops for feed
and a place for waste management
It can be said that where agriculture is blooming, pests are likewise spreading. In fact,
pests were already present even as crops are not yet planted.

DESERT LOCUSTS: ONE OF THE MOST DANGEROUS THREATS TO FOOD

SECURITY
Locusts are the swarming phase of short-horned grasshoppers of the family Acridities.
The Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN said the desert locust is considered to
be one of the most dangerous pests threatening crop production and food security in
UAE. In one day, it can devour enough food that can feed 34 million people. Its ability to
survive and breed under various climates in areas covering 29 million square kilometers
from the Atlantic Ocean in the west to India and Pakistan in the east - across 64
countries - can pose a significant risk to the agriculture sector
In UAE, the farmers are struggling to combat the worst locust plague in nearly three
decades as insect swarms decimate entire harvests in the country's agricultural
heartlands and send food prices soaring.  Infestation of locusts and other pests will
devastate the supply of cotton, the local cash crop, ahead of its harvest in the coming
months.
The spread of Tran’s boundary plant pests and diseases has increased dramatically in
recent years. Globalization, trade and climate change, as well as reduced resilience in
production systems due to decades of agricultural intensification, have all played a part.
Thus, to aid farmers and planters, we are introducing our service to aid pest control
problems in the agricultural sector of UAE.
With respect to agriculture and food products, Dubai (and the UAE) is far more
than solely an export destination in its own right.

Imports:
The United Arab Emirates depends largely on imports of agriculture and food products.
The majority of the US$ 3.5-4.0 billion in annual food imports come from the United
States, United Kingdom, Germany and France. According to estimates, some 30-40%
of UAE's consumable items imported every year move-on to other markets, reaching as
far as Russia, and East Africa. Re-exports of some agri-food products (e.g., pulses and
lentils) could exceed 60-70%, and indeed more as in the case of canola seed imports
which are largely crushed for oil exports to Europe.
Exports:
Agriculture and food exports to the UAE from Pakistan over the past four years have
averaged over US$ 200 million, with a sharp increase in 2019 to reach US$ 260 million
in that year mostly due to rice, wheat, and meat & meat products.

Service we are launching in UAE:

We are launching agricultural drown which is an unmanned vehicle which helps in

monitoring the crops. It is used to optimize the agricultural operations. From this drown
farmers can see their crop field from the sky and the camera reveals all problems such
as attack of insects, salinity problems, water problems and fungal attacks etc.
The drown have the ability to shower medicine in the infected areas. So, it has the
ability to monitor and control pesticides.
Advantages of our service:
 Our drown will identify the problems which cannot be identifiable from naked eye.
 Enhance on the basis of economies of scale
 Manually it takes a lot of time to keep check and balance but through our service
it can be done in an hour.
 By this service farmers can get a clear picture and information that where they
need to improve farming and which area is most affected by the insects so they
can manage accordingly.
 In this way they can increase the production and improve farm efficiency.
 Services can be given according ton the need. (monthly, weekly, daily or even
hourly).
