    Mr. M P Poddar, an 86-year-old male, had blood work done which showed abnormalities including low hemoglobin (11.4 g/dl) and erythrocyte count (3.67 million/cu.mm) as well as high leukocyte count (16810 /cu.mm) dominated by neutrophils (86.8%). A peripheral smear found neutrophilia with leucocytosis and normal red blood cells and platelets. Further clinical correlation and follow up were suggested.
