A build is triggered by changes in the version control system and consists of executable code binaries. Large changes are achieved using feature branches. A build that fails acceptance testing will not be deployable. Continuous deployment aims to make feedback loops as short as possible. Automated implementation of build, test, and deployment is called a deployment pipeline.
