    C. FOUNDATION G. NOTES ON CONCRETE SLAB

    1. FOUNDATION IS DESIGNED FOR AN ASSUMED SOIL BEARING CAPACITY OF 5000 PSF OR 240 KPA.
    CONFIRMATION OF ACTUAL SOIL BEARING CAPACITY SHALL BE DONE PRIOR TO CONSTRUCTION OF
    FOUNDATION.
    2. FOUNDATION SHALL REST ON NATURAL SOIL. UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED BY THE ENGINEER, NO PART OF THE
    FOUNDATION SHALL REST ON FILL.
    3. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL NOTIFY THE ENGINEER AFTER FOOTING EXCAVATION HAVE BEEN COMPLETED AND
    PRIOR TO CONCRETING TO CONFIRM THE DESIGN SOIL BEARING CAPACITY.
    4. IN CASE, ACTUAL SOIL BEARING CAPACITY IS FOUND TO BE LESS THAN THE RECOMMENDED, NOTIFY
    STRUCTURAL ENGINEER FOR PROPER REVISION OF FOOTING DESIGN.
    5. SEE TYPICAL DETAIL OF LIMITING SLOPE OF ADJACENT FOOTING AT DIFFERENT ELEVATION. (REFER TO FIG. 1)
    6. BACKFILL SHALL BE PLACED 20MM LAYERS AND EACH LAYER SHALL BE COMPACTED TO 95% MAXIMUM DRY
    DENSITY BEFORE SUBSEQUENTLY LAYERS ARE TO BE LAID.
    7. WHERE LOOSE MATERIALS ENCOUNTERED AT FOOTING EMBEDMENT INDICATED, EXCAVATE TO FIRM LAYER
    AND REPLACE LOOSE MATERIALS UNDERNEATH THE FOOTING WITHIN THE FOOTING AREA PLUS 1/2 DEPTH OF
    SOIL MATERIALS ON ALL SIDES WITH SELECTED BACKFILL.
    8. CONTRACTOR TO PROVIDE FOR -------------- OF EXCAVATION FROM EITHER SURFACE WATER, GROUND OR
    SEEPAGE. ALSO TO PROVIDE DESIGN AND INSTALLATION OF CRIBBING, ------------- AND ------------- REQUIRED TO
    SAFELY RETAIN THE EARTH BANKS.
    9. FOOTING BACKFILL AND UTILITY TRENCH BACKFILL WITHIN THE BUILDING AREA SHALL BE MECHANICALLY
    COMPACTED IN LAYERS, IN ACCORDANCE WITH SOIL REPORT, FLOODING WILL NOT BE PERMITTED.
    10. ALL ABANDONED FOOTINGS, UTILITIES, ETC. THAT INTERFERE WITH NEW CONSTRUCTION SHALL BE
    REMOVED, ALL EARTHWORK SHALL BE DONE IN ACCORDANCE WITH SOIL REPORT RECOMMENDATION.
