TOPIC/ LESSON NAME Imaging and Designing for Online Environment (Ref: CG 2nd
Quarter Week 1)
CONTENT STANDARDS The learners demonstrate an understanding of:
1. The use of advanced tools and techniques found in common
productivity and software applications in developing ICT
content for specific professional tracks.
2. how to manipulate text, graphics, and images to create ICT
content intended for an online environment
PERFORMANCE At the end of the 2-week period independently apply advanced
STANDARDS productivity tools to create or develop ICT content for use in
specific professional tracks
These may be in the form of, but not limited to:

1. Calculating spread sheet of athletic statistics (Sports)
2. Layout of catalogue of creative works (Arts)
3. Materials/ ingredients projections for batches of baked goods
(Tech- Voc)
4. Letterhead/ business card design (Business/ Academic)
LEARNING COMPETENCIES The learner…
1. uses common productivity tools effectively by maximizing
advanced application techniques.
2. creates an original or derivative ICT content to effectively
communicate or present data or information related to
specific professional tracks
SPECIFIC LEARNING At the end of the lesson, the learners will be able to:
OUTCOMES 1. Understand the basic principles of graphics and layout;
2. Create a simple infographic using web tools;
3. Understand and use several file formats used on the web;
4. Easily manipulate images using a simple image editor.
TIME ALLOTMENT 4 days (240 mins)

1. Introduction/Review: Prayer, routine activities, and articulation of objectives (5 minutes)
2. Motivation: Internet Trivia/ Video Presentation (10 minutes)
3. Instruction/Delivery: Basic principles of Graphics and Layout (50 minutes)
4. Practice: Jump Starting Your Social Media Campaign (20 minutes)
5. Enrichment: Three Question Survey (20 minutes)

Task #1: Internet Trivia
1. Student will be asked about the most visited website in the world. Each students will guess
answer the trivia asked using the clues given to them
2. The student will justify how the said website had been in rank considered rank one.
INSTRUCTION/ DELIVERY
Discussion
1. The students will give their prior knowledge about basic principles of graphics and layout.
2. The teacher will ask the following question:

- What are the basic principles of graphics and layout?
- How infographics makes a site visually appealing?
- What are the ways to create infographics?
- What are the different online image file formats?
PRACTICE
TASK #2: Jump Starting Your Social Media Campaign (Group Activity)
1. Students will be divided into groups. Then each group will take a look on an initial plan by
identifying the correct web platform for social change. They need to set up their own website
or a web page by creating Facebook page.
2. Each group must assure that they use the principles of designing when layouting and when
adding content for your page. Once set up try adding content like photographs. Share the
photos using your page.
3. Then it will be check based on the status of your web page.
Enrichment
Task #3: Three Question Survey
1. Students are task to create a short three- question survey for the community members who
are also affected with the problem you are campaigning for. Then each group should ask the
respondents by using a scale of 1-5. Also, they need to ask at least 15 members of the
community to make a strong case to your campaign.
2. Students should create an infographic about the result of their survey and post it on your
campaign site or web page.
