Introduction:
This Project aims to model the working of an Airline reservation system. An Airline Reservation
System (ARS) is part of the so-called Passenger Service Systems (PSS), which are applications
supporting the direct contact with the passenger. The Airline Reservations System (ARS) was one of the
earliest changes to improve efficiency.
All these and other transactions and features have been described in detail in belove.
Purpose:
This document is the Project Requirement Specification for Airline reservation system and will outline
the purpose and functionalities of this project. Airline reservation systems are used to track and maintain
records of flight schedules, passenger reservations and seat assignments, aircraft loading, flight inventory,
ticket purchases and fare tariffs. The modern airline reservation system also serves customer needs from
beginning to end of each customer's reserved flight, therefore laying out management tasks for each
flight.
Scope:
Airline reservation system will enable company to book the tickets for passengers at the airports. We will
be able to select the flight and class according to their choice and provide variable mode of payments.
History:
The history of airline reservations systems began in the late 1950s when American Airlines required a
system that would allow real-time access to flight details in all of its offices, and the integration and
automation of its booking and ticketing processes. American Airlines was the first to establish an
automated booking system in 1946. Using a system to track information and improve efficiency was a
highly appealing aim in the industry, and drew the attention of other airlines worldwide.
OVERVIEW:
Airline Reservations Systems contain airline schedules, fare tariffs, passenger reservations and ticket
records. An airline's direct distribution works within their own reservation system. This document will
contain the requirements for the different functions to be inculcated in the Airline reservation system. The
basic requirements will be listed first and later on the specific requirements. This document will only
contain requirements for those functions that are planned to be developed soon and not all the possible
demos we want/will develop.
Project Description:
.In this Project I design a database that consist a Airline Reservation System contain a Flight detail,
Customer Description, Reservation Description, Cancellation and other specify. I design a database of
one place that will be control other four places database and make it relation between all places. This is
called DISTRIBUTED DATABASE.

appropriate deductions, depending on the mode of payment selected during ticket reservation. For
payments made through cash refund will be in form of cash.
SYSTEM DESIGN:
In this phase initially I had designed E-R diagram of the processes , in order to identify various
entities and relation ship set ,entity set ,attributers, link attributes The Diagram of this process as under.
After this step We had tried design the data base for the new system and normalized it

SOFTWATRE INTERFACES
