Ph.D Statistics three years duration from a recognized University/Institute
OR
Five years integrated M.Sc. degree with a minimum of 55% marks [50% for OBC (Non-
creamy layer)/SC/ST/PWD] in Statistics or allied subjects.
A consistently good academic record possessing a Master’s Degree (two years duration)
with a minimum of 55% marks [50% for OBC (Non-creamy layer) /SC/ST/PWD
Ph.D Tamil candidates] in Master’s degree in Tamil / equivalent subject in Tamil , preceded by a
Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent Degree of three years duration from a recognized
University.

****#All those candidates who are applying for admission into PhD programmes and have cleared National Level Fellowship Examinations
i.e. UGC-JRF / UGC-CSIR-JRF have to apply through CUCET 2020 online portal and they are exempted from CUCET 2020 Entrance
Exam. However, they have to appear for INTERVIEW. ONLY shortlisted candidates will be called for Interview. Some of the Departments
may conduct Written test at the time of interview, if required. Preference will be given for candidates with JRF.

Candidates claiming admission under OBC category should produce OBC-NCL (Non-Creamy Layer) as per Central government format.
OBC certificate issued by the State Government format will not be accepted.

****#Candidates without National Level Fellowship, who appear in CUCET have to appear in the interview conducted by the department
as per UGC2016 (M.Phil./Ph.D) Regulations.

Candidates securing 50% of marks (45% and above for OBC-NCL, SC, ST & PWD candidates) and above in CUCET 2020 only are
eligible to appear for the interview.
