 Email is a service that enables us to send the email over the Internet in an electronic
mode.
 Chatting offers continuous talk among people and gathering of individuals. Internet
Relay Chat (IRC) is the most popular tool of the Internet used by people to talk to
each other using the computer.
 Videoconferencing or video teleconferencing is a method of communicating by two-
way video and audio transmission with help of telecommunication technologies.
 E-learning is regarded as a learning scheme based on formalized teaching but using
electronic resources.
 Synchronous, means "at the same time," involves interaction of participants with an
instructor via the web in real time.
 Asynchronous, which means "not at the same time," allows the participants to
complete the web-based training(WBT) at their own pace, without live interaction
with the instructor.
 E-learning software includes notes, videos, books, and many other materials linked
to a specific topic.
 Electronic Banking (e-banking) allows customers of a bank or any financial institution
to conduct financial transactions on a secure website operated by the bank or
institution.
 Electronic shopping (e-shopping) is the method by which merchants buy products
and services over the Internet.
 E-reservation stands for Electronic Reservation. It is an Internet technology that
allows customers to book railway/airline/ bus tickets and rooms in hotels online.
 E-governance can be described as the implementation of communication and
information technology to provide public services, data exchange, transactions, and
integration of earlier current services and data portals.
 E-groups can be of several types such as list server, newsgroup, Bulletin Board
