Install IIS

Notes:
- Insert Windows Server 2003 installer to CD-Rom.
- Do this for the database server and application server.

1. Go to Control Panel >> Add or Remove Programs.


2. Click Add/Remove Windows Components.
3. Tick Application Server, and then click Next button.

Install .NET Framework

Notes:
- Do this for the database server and application server.

1. Run dotnetfx3_x86.exe.
2. Tick “I have read and ACCEPT…”.
3. Click Install > button.

Install SQL Server 2005 Standard Edition

Notes:
- Do this in database server.

1. Run SQL installer.


2. Tick “I accept the licensing terms and conditions”.
3. Click Next button.

8. Type Paxys inside the Name text field and Paxys inside the Organization text field, and then click Next button.

Install Microsoft Dynamics AX 4.0

Notes:
- Do this in application server.

1. Start Microsoft Dynamics AX 4.0 installer.

a) From autorun – Click Microsoft Dynamics AX under Install heading.


b) From root directory – Click setup.exe file.
2. On the Welcome page, click Next button.
3. On the License terms page, select I accept the license terms then click Next button.
4. On the Select installation type page, select Single computer installation then click Next button.

5. On the Select language page, select the language defined by the license code of the company (refer to the person responsible for the
license acquisition – e.g. Mr. Terence U. Guanio) then click Next button.
6. On the Select help language page, select the language that will be used by the Help function of Dynamics AX then click Next button.
7. On the Select region page, select No additional region (unless an available region is applicable for the implementation, select one from
the list) then click Next button.

8. On the Create an instance of Application Object Server (AOS) page, type the name of the AOS (refer to the table below for suggested
naming conventions) and the location of the AOS files. Click Next button.

9. On the Select account for the Application Object Server page, choose Network Service Account [NT AUTHORITY\NETWORK SERVICE]
then click Next button.
10. On the Select database page, select Create a new SQL Server database then click Next button.
11. On the Connect to an instance of SQL Server page, type the server name of the database server then click Next button.

12. On the Create SQL Server database page, type the database name for the Dynamics AX database (you may refer to Table 1 for
suggested naming conventions, just replace AOS with DB). Click Next button.
13. On the Install application files page, type the location, or click Browse to navigate to the location where the application files will be
installed then click Next button.
14. On the Install Client files page, type the location, or click Browse to navigate to the location where the client files will be installed.
15. On the Ready to install page, (if checkbox is ticked, AOS service is started after installation) click the Install button and wait for the
installation to finish.
16. Click Finish button to exit Microsoft Dynamics AX setup.
