    Better Dead than Jailed

    The Department of Justice (DOJ) on Thursday filed two murder cases against Sen. Panfilo
    "Ping" Lacson for his alleged involvement in the killings of publicist Salvador "Bubby" Dacer and his
    driver, Emmanuel Corbito, in November 2000.

    Authorities have confirmed that Senator Panfilo Lacson is abroad, as the possibility of his
    arrest in connection with the Dacer-Corbito double murder case looms.
    Lacson has been absent from Senate sessions for 2 weeksSenate President Juan Ponce Enrile said that
    Lacson wrote him a letter, saying that he cannot attend sessions in the meantime because he is
    abroad.Enrile added that he "does not know" where Lacson is at the moment

    I cannot praise and cloistered virtue because a fugitive from one’s country escape from
    himself upon grasp of conscience and morality Senator Panfilo Lacson’ action not to face the charges
    against him and evaded the legal processes is a crime in itself.

    He must realize that he cannot protect himself if he keeps on hiding because the must
    important thing in life is to learn how to face the truth and bears the consequence burden upon it. A
    certain degree of courage o face the charges against him ang to respect the chamber of justice is the
    best way to bring out the truth and gives justice to the victims, Publicist Salvador “Buboy” Dacer and
    others.

    If Senator Panfillo Lacson keeps on defying the judiciary, he probably loses his conscience.
    The person that loses his conscience has nothing left worth keeping.

    The actions of Senator Panfilo Lacson, as being a legislator, would be damaging to the
    constitution because the judiciary would fail to try the case. It would be harmful to the government
    because there’s no resolution of the issues of the case ( Dacer’s Case) .But most importantly, it would
    show willful blindness to the evidentiary record that has thus far been presented.

    The department of Justice should work vigorously to stop these systematic abuses to
    humanity. Justice will only be serve if there’s already a resolution of the case ( Dacer’s Case).

    It would be a great action on the part of the government to bring a string message to
    everybody that the government protects it’s citizens from widespread trouble and maintain the safety
    and tranquility of the country which is right to be enjoyed by it’s citizens.

    In Senator Panfilo Lacson political and personal crisis, the important thing about his problem
    is not its solution, but the strength and courage to respect and listen the call of his conscience. His
    problems do not go away, he must worked through or else they remain,forever a barrier to his growth
    and development of the spirit,politically or spriritually.

    He must be responsible and fix it by himself. Any issues will never be fix by blaming
    someone else. Each may create his own experience; he must be responsible on his thoughts and
    actions. He should study what happened to create the problem an learn from his mistakes correct it
    and move on.

    "There is no basis at this point to issue a warrant of arrest against Senator Lacson," he said.
    Without any such motion, a court could issue an arrest order within 10 days."With our motion, the
    judge can order an evaluation and there are three scenarios. She can say there's no need to go to trial
    and dismiss the case, she can require the prosecution to show more basis to support the charges, or
    she can determine that there is merit (to the charges)," Avisado explained."But we are hopeful that the
    judge will find merit in our position that there is no probable cause (to charge Lacson)," he said.
