Project Proposal
Activity Title: Dare to dream
Date: May 16, 2020 and May 23, 2020
Venue: P. Noval Court, Practice Gym and Main Field of University of Santo Tomas
Nature of Activity: Mini Olympics
Objectives:  To organize Inter University Sports Championships for male & female

Target Participants: 2nd Year FSM IPEA Students of University Santo Tomas AY 2019-2020
 The students will be grouped into 4 teams. A week prior to the start of
the event, there will be an online pre-registration to determine which
team they will be grouped into. Students are highly encouraged to

Rules and Regulations of each sport
 Football
o 7 players (4 reserved; 3 Female, 4 Male including the goal
keeper)
o Game is played at 80 minutes with 15 minutes half time
o If the game reaches a draw, a penalty kick will determine
the winner.
 Volleyball
o 7 players (2 reserved; 4 Female, 3 Male including the libero)
o 3 out of 5 sets
o Each set is race to 25 points and the last set is race to 15
points
 Basketball
o 5 players (4 reserved; 2 Female, 3 Male)
o Four (4) quarters of 10 minutes and 10 minutes half-time
break
o In case the teams are tied by the end of 4 quarters, an
additional 5 minutes will be played to determine the
winner
 Korfball
o 8 players (2 reserved; 4 Female, 4 Male)
o 4 periods of 10 minutes and 10 minutes half-time
 Softball
o 7 players (1 reserved player; 3 Female, 4 Male)
o 5 (innings)

Each team consists of 47 players


OFFICIALS
There will two professional referee appointed for each sport to avoid
confusion with the rules and regulations, and to keep the flow of the game
smoothly

 Football
o 2 professional referees
 Volleyball
o 2 referees (1st & 2nd referee is a professional referee)
o 4 line judges (volleyball athlete)
 Basketball
o 3 referees (2 professional and 1 basketball athlete)
 Korfball
o 2 professional referees
 Softball
o 3 referees (2 professional and 1 athlete)
