SpaceX, An Inspiration

SpaceX, An Inspiration
Many such companies come to mind but one that stands out goes by the name SpaceX.
SpaceX is a private American space transportation company founded by Elon Musk, with the
goal of making life interplanetary. The product/services it offers are, as the name suggests,
means of transportation to space, that is, it provides a seat on top of its suits of very capable
rockets (launch vehicles) to the satellites, payloads or even Humans on a ride to space (Earth’s
orbit). But that’s not what is famous for, in fact, there are 5 other companies that are very
capable of doing this in America itself and even India’s ISRO could do this very efficiently. The
thing that is really impressive and it’s famous for is...
Those are falcon heavy boosters, a rocket part that propels the payload out to the Earth’s
orbit(space) and then fallbacks to Earth and lands on a landing zone. And to specify the scale
of things those and 40-metre tall and 5 meter wide objects falling from space reaching speeds
up to 6000 km/h and landing in sync on 50-meter wide landing zones. it‘s so unbelievable that
when SpaceX proposed this, it was deemed impossible and even ridiculed by the experts in the
field. But SpaceX being led by Elon Musk proved them all wrong back in 2015. Such is the
sheer brilliance, impressive engineering and it’s immense strive to innovate no matter what the
odds is. This enabled SpaceX to shine out of its competitors and majorly pull-down space
transportation cost such that it provides launches at the cheapest price in the world. They also
strive to take Humankind to Mars and is very rapidly developing a never thought of space
vehicle for this cause. There pace, innovation and motivation are something that has never
been never seen since the politically fueled Apollo days (late 1960’s). This has motivated many
youngsters to pay more heed to space. And as space enthusiast say ‘SpaceX has made space
interesting again’! I would love to continue jotting down all its achievements and innovations but
let me just conclude with “Thank you SpaceX, you helped me find the space nerd in me!”
Who is a better leader according to you, and why? M.S. Dhoni or Virat Kohli? You
may refer to the Six Thinking Hats Theory. Answer in about 180-200 words.
Let’s take help from the Six Thinking Hats theory to decide on who in M.S. Dhoni and Virat Kohli
are better leaders :
● Blue Hat: Wearing the Blue hat I think it will be better to list down all the views with
respect to the other hat bearers and then we will decide based on whoever gets the
most favourable outcomes.
● White Hat: We all know Dhoni is one of the most cool-headed players cricket has ever
seen, we have all seen him even outperforming himself in times of pressure. He has
been an incredible leader and knows all the tactics of the game, out reading his
opponents moves well beforehand, he is also very mature, well versed, and experienced
in the game. Kohli, on the other hand, is short-tempered, slightly on the lacking side with
respect to the tactical skills to guide the game, in fact he is often seen approaching
Dhoni for counsel. But he is also one of the best performing players in the field and a
really fast learner.
● Red hat: when one sees Dhoni play one is gifted the sight of how a leader should be!
One gets goosebumps witnessing the sheer brilliance of this man. Kohli, on the other
hand, seems to be that wild rogue youngster who could do anything to win, his game is a
delight to watch but with regards to the leadership, he lacks the sombre one needs for
that.
● Yellow Hat: but we must all agree with the fact that as brilliant Dhoni is Kohli will be
overshadowed by him. Kohli is a great player and I bet he will be an amazing leader
given the time. And we must not forget he is a youngster he will be better for
communicating with all those young players we have in our team. Only a youngster can
get into the heart of another. Dhoni is amazing and probably the best but can we keep
him with us forever? We need new blood now.
● Black hat: we also can’t deny that Dhoni is ageing and his hold of the game is loosening.
His finishes aren’t as in point as it was. Kohli too is filled with rage and lacks the tactical
skills of a good leader.
● Green hat: I think the best solution to this is that we Appoint Kohli as the Captain and
keep Dhoni in the team as a check when Kohli underperforms as a leader. That way we
will have the best of the two leaders and Kohli will be well trained to be a self-sufficient
and a responsible leader in the future.
So accordingly although both of the players are undoubtedly very good in the game, better said
one of the best in the game Dhoni checks out as a better leader as he checks out most of the
positive reviews by all of them. Although the Green hat’s suggestion seems pretty valid.
Thank You.
