    Biography

    Hope Elizabeth Soberano also known as Liza Soberano


    was born on January 4, 1998 in Santa Clara, California,
    United States, one of the seven children born to John
    Castillo Soberano, a Filipino and Jacqulyn Elizabeth
    Hanley, an American. Liza was raised in Visalia,
    California, by her paternal grandparents when her
    parents separated.

    At the age of 10, she went to live with her father and
    relatives in Manila, Philippines.

    Aged 12, Liza was offered jobs to model for print ads.

    At the age of 13, a talent scout spotted her and was introduced to Ogie Diaz, who is her current talent
    manager.

    In 2010, It was her first on-screen feature was in a cameo as Barangay Audience in the Philippines’
    longest running noontime television variety show Eat Bulaga.

    In 2011, Liza made her acting debut in episode Mac Ulit-Ulit of the Philippine fantasy-drama, comedy
    anthology television series Wansapanataym.

    In 2012, Liza had a minor role as Claire Raymundo in the Philippine daytime television drama Kung Ako’y
    Iiwan Mo and Young Gladys in the episode titled Singsing from the Philippine drama anthology series
    Maalaala Mo Kaya.

    In 2013 she also starred as Gillian in She's the One with Bea Alonzo, Dingdong Dantes and Enrique Gil.

    In 2015, Soberano's breakthrough came in when she received her first leading role in the hit romantic
    comedy television series Forevermore as strawberry farmer Maria Agnes Calay alongside Enrique Gil,
    who played Alexander "Xander" Grande III, a hotel company heir who eventually becomes Agnes' love
    interest. Liza Soberano graduated high school at St. Patrick’s School of Quezon City.

    In February 2016, Soberano starred in the romantic comedy melodrama series Dolce Amore.

    In May 2017, Soberano confirmed that she would star as Darna in upcoming film adaptation, which was
    set to be released in 2019.

    In 2018, YouGov an international Internet-based market research and data analytics firm in United
    Kingdom, listed Soberano as the No.1 most admired woman in the Philippines

    In 2019, Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil publicly confirmed they have been a couple since October 2014.

    Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil new drama television series Make It With You will premiere on ABS-CBN's
    Primetime Bida evening block and worldwide via The Filipino Channel on January 13, 2020.
