→The rapid advances and the increased reliance on technology, the question of
how it is changing work and employment is highly salient for scholars of
organizational psychology and organizational behavior. The answer attempts to
interpret the progress, direction, and purpose of current research on the effects
of technology on work and organizations. Technology has shifted the way the
workplace looks today. While many people still go into the office for their
workplace, other employee have the option to work remotely. Some companies
even operate strictly online and do not require brick and mortar workplace. In
addition, video conferences have replaced in- person meetings and changed the
dynamic of many professional, working relationship.
LEADERSHIP- It is all about doing the right things at the right time. It’s about
motivating employees to deliver their best and achieve a common goal despite
the impediments. It involves creating a workplace environment which makes
employees feel empowered to deliver solutions in the most effective manner.
The impact of technology on leadership is substantial and the benefits are many.
However, one thing that remains as a challenge for all leaders across the world is
to utilize the right technology at the right time and in the right ways. The aim
should be to apply technology on the right tasks and reduce the need for human
efforts.
→Changing your behavior and sticking to new habits can be hard. No doubt about
it. Thankfully, Lewin’s Equation keeps things simple.
B=f (P1, E). Behavior is a function of the person in their Environment. Improve
yourself and adjust your environment to make good habits harder. If you can do
those two things, sticking with better habits will be much easier.
This equation says that the variations in human behavior are largely due to the
fact that persons differ with respect to their various attributes because of their
genetic endowments and diverse experiences and so do the environments they
are placed in here the environment is conceptual as it is perceived or made sense
of by the persons. Individuals vary with respect to their intelligence, interests,
values, attitudes, and many other personality characters. Besides individual
differences psychologists also believe that there are variations in behavior which
occur due to environmental factors. They look to explanations of various
psychological phenomena based on individual environment interactions. Although
it is difficult that they do seek out the relative importance of heredity and
environment in explaining human behavior.
# There are basically three imp role that influence behavior are-
ORGANISATIONAL ADAPTATION
CONTROLLING AND DIECTING BEHAVIOR
ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE
Not knowing how this pandemic will plat out also affects our economic,
physical, and mental well-being.
Despite this fear, businesses and communities in many regions have shown
a more altruistic response in the face of crisis- actions which could help
countries preparing for COVID-19.
Social distancing and lockdown have also prompted altruistic behaviors, in part
because of a sense that “Many people report being borne or concerned about
putting on weights. Others have discovered a slower pace of life and by not going
out and socializing have found more time for family, others and even their pets.
The downside of self-isolation or social lockdown are symptoms of traumatic
stress, confusion, and anger, all of which are exacerbated by fear of infection,
having limited access to supplies of necessities, inadequate information or the
experience of economic loss or stigma. This stress and anxiety can lead to
increased alcohol consumption, as well as increase in domestic and family
violence.
