PASSIVE VOICE

1) When do we use PASSIVE VOICE?

In technical English it is not important who does the work but that it is done. For this
reason most technical instructions are given in the passive voice as the reader of a
technical instruction or the person to be instructed needs exact information on the kind of
work that has to be done and on how the work has to be performed. In this case, it is of no
interest, who the responsible person is.

Example:
A wall plug is inserted in a hole, and a screw or bolt is then screwed into it.
2) What do you need to form passive sentences?

TO BE VERB (PAST PARTICIPLE FORM)
