DEMONSTRATIVE ADJECTIVES

This / These to indicate someone or something near the speaker.


That / Those to indicate someone or something far from the speaker.

Singular Plural
This woman These women
This boy These boys
That child Those children
That book Those books

! ! ! Note: They can be used as both adjectives and pronouns.

Examples:
1. This coat is cheap.
2. What are those girls doing?
3. This is a good place.
4. That’s my car over there.
5. These are my suitcases.

A- Complete the sentences with ‘’this”, “that”, “these”, “those’’

1. Can I introduce you? Sandra, this_ is John. John this is Sandra.
