CELESTIAL CHARM
ANECDOTE
My family and I would go to the desert to camp for one night and our family friends. We would all meet at a specific point,
and our cars would line up, one behind the other, and we would be on our way to the ‘biggest adventure’ of the year. In our
minds (the kids), we were a bunch of explorers looking to conquer our campsite.
Once we reached the campsite, the kids would help our fathers set up our tents for the night and then start the bonfire,
after which we would settle into the evening. My favorite part of the trip would be when all the kids grabbed a mat or chair
and a flashlight, ready to climb up the highest dune around our campsite. We used to lay down on the top of the dune and
The blanket of stars hovering above us was a sight that always took my breath away. The sky glittered and glowed with the
moonlight. It was the most beautiful thing I had ever experienced. I remember looking at the sky and hoping to see a
shooting star. Before you know it, I looked up and saw a star shoot across the sky. I blinked and lo behold, another one-shot
across. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing, and while that was going through my mind, I saw the third and last one.
I was in awe, and each time I think of this experience, it is euphoric. It fills every cell in my body with a sense of joy,
