    x = the money invested at 3%

    y = the money invested at 4%

    the total money invested is Rs.45,000

    x + y = 45000

    twice as much being invested at 3 percent as 4 percent.

    x = 2y

    his total amount interest return is Rs. 1,500

    0.03*x + 0.04*y = 1500

    by solving the system


    x + y = 45000

    x = 2y

    0.03*x + 0.04*y = 1500

    we find

    x = Rs 30,000

    y = Rs 15,000

    Mr. Altaf have invested Rs 30,000 at 3% and Rs 15,000 at 4%.
