INTERVIEW QUESTION - ANSWER FOR HR

1. Tell me about yourself. Ans- Hi , this is Sayanti Mukherjee from Bangalore. I did my 10 th standard on
2013 . Then I did Diploma in Computer Science & Technology on 2016 . Then I have completed B.Tech in
Computer Science & Engineering on 2019 . Now I am pursuing MBA in HR & Marketing from Regional
College Of Management Bangalore. Apart from that , I have done Diploma in Business Management
from International Business Management Institute,Berlin on 2019.I have three members in my family & I
am the single child.I love cooking , photography. That’s it . Thank you.

2. Tell me about your ability to work under pressure? Ans- I keep myself calm & focus on multi-tasking
while being patient.

3. Describe your management style? Ans- I will be constantly keeping tab of assigned work with my
subordinates & seniors, finishing the assigned job before deadline.

4. Are you a teamplayer? Ans- Yes , the team which I was a part of have successfully completed the
projects within deadlines.

5. What irritates you about co-workers? Ans- I believe in team work. Even if I find anything irritateing, I
try to avoid it unless it personally affects me.

6. How long would you expect to work for us if hired? Ans- As long as I feel challanged professionally.

7. How do you see yourself 5 years from now? Ans- I see myself in a senior position managing
important portfolio of this company.

8. What is your strength ? Ans- Strengths : My time management - I always finish my work before
deadline , flexible in nature , Pro-active , Self - motivated, multi-tasker , quick learner , great team
player , problem solving.

9. What position do you prefer on a team working on a project? Ans- It doesn’t matter till I learn
something new in every project.

10. Do you have any question for us? Ans- When can I join? / Does company provide any higher
education opportunity / Does company encourage corporate social activities.

11. Why did you choose HR or why do you want to be in the HR department? Ans - Human Resource
are the heart of a company. It plays a very important role in day to day business. We hire right talent for
the organisation. As recruitment is my passion and I get a chance to meet different people and ofcourse
I’m passionate about my profile. I have always been very good at communicating, networking, listening
to people's problems and coming up with solutions to help them.
Everyone loves you and you have to take care of your employees in the best possible way. We have value
and respect apart from handsome money, if you have good work exposure and experience.

As a profession HR gives you more liberty in bringing the changes in the organization that you want,
whether it is - recruitment, policy making, appraisals, employee engagement all give you great
satisfaction and keep you in high spirits.

Human Resource is an important asset for any organisation. You need professionals who can take care of
Human Resource Department in an efficient and effective way because at the end of a day if your
employee is not happy than the negative effect will be a huge toll on the Organisation. Hence HR
professionals take care of these important resources and that is why they are called Human Doctors.

We are the building blocks on which the company's performance & productivity is based.

12. Why should i hire you as a HR? Ans- Being a fresher, I keep my mind open to every necessary thing
that is to be learnt for the enhancement of the growth of the organization and self. I strongly believe it is
more like a mutual benefit and cooperation accord between me and the organization, wherein I gain the
knowledge and the company gains the reputation with time along with increase in revenue.
My degree in MBA in HR & Marketing , & skills like project management, Team work , Time
management, Social media marketing, Ms word ,excel, powerpoint, office known. Apart from that team
leadership , creative ideation, skilled multi tasker, problem solving , & scope management make me a
valuable team player for your company. I have strong work ethic & will do a fantastic job. / I am a strong
team player a good leader. I have been leading teams for project and cultural activities during my
college days.
In your company I will be a great player within any challenging team and provide leadership
when opportunity arises.

13. What do you know about HR work? Ans- Human resources  specialists are responsible for recruiting,
screening, interviewing and placing workers. They may also handle employee relations, payroll, benefits,
and training.  Human resources  managers plan, direct and coordinate the administrative functions of an
organization.

14. What is your goal? Ans- As a fresher, I am assuming by first five years will be a huge learning curve. I
want to absorb much of the industry knowledge. In the next five years, I would like to see myself donning
one of the senior positions in the organization contributing to knowledge as well as participating in
business growth.

15. Hello, how are you today? Ans- I am very well today sir, thank you. / I am doing good sir , thank you.

16. What are your key strengths ? Ans- I think my greatest strength is my positive attitude, even during
the most hardest of times. During my college project, there has been couple of occasions, when our idea
was not falling in place and the results were negative. I had to believe and think positively and keep my
team motivated to persist on our idea, and finally we got the desired result. And apart from that my time
management , I always finish my work before my deadline. Even it’s not about work , if you give me a
time to meet with you , I’ll definately reach the place before the time . Basically I never do late.

17. What is one thing, which you want to improve about yourself ? (OR) what are your weaknesses ?
Ans- I tend to try to take up too many things, leaving little time for myself.
18. Have you been in some challenging situation ? Explain how you handled it ? Ans- Yes, we did have
some challenging situation during our final semester project delivery. Usually the kind of code logic we
were trying to implemented, that didn’t work. Theoretically it was possible, but result was not coming
through and the team wanted to give up . I was positive, that this will work and that we stick to the plan
and figure out our actual problem. It took some effort to convince my team, a lot more hard work and
few extra hours of reading, but finally we stayed positive and cracked the issue and delivered the project.

19. What are your hobbies and interests ? Ans- I love cooking and also photography, & also I am a
numismatist (coin/ currency collector). I have been doing it since school days.

20. Who is the most inspiring person in your life? Ans- My greatest inspiration is Sachin Tendulkar. He
had such a humble upbringing , his hard work took him to the greatest heights in the world of sports. He
still keeps himself rooted and stays humble. I also believe in hard work and humility. / My greatest
inspiration is my dad. He has always thought me to not worry about weakness and take most advantage
of strengths. This has developed a lot of confidence in me during difficult times.

21. Are you willing to change your role and profile when required for project? Ans- Yes, most definitely
sir. As a fresher, I hope and wish to learn as much things as possible. I believe taking up different roles
and profiles only helps me learn and grow in this industry.

22. Are you ready to relocate? Ans- Yes, I don’t see a problem in relocation. It’s always a better learning
experience than being around with same environment and people. / Yes, most definitely. I believe being
at different locations helps me learn about new culture and people.

23. Why do you want to work for us? Ans- I have always admired XYZ (company), for the cutting edge
products and developments it bring about in the modern world. The impact of our work, is directly
reflected among the society in general, which is a great feeling. I would like to be a part of this modern
day game changer bandwagon. / I believe, life is always a mix of hard work and fun. I find the work
culture of xyz to carry the same principle. “Work hard... Party harder”. What better way to start off my
career, than at a place, where I will feel like home.

24. What are your expectations from your first job? Ans- I have had lot of studies during all these years,
but mostly theoretical leanings. My first & foremost expectation from my first job would be to learn
how all these are applied in a practical and industrial way. I also want to be a part of the corporate
culture and learn how this is run.

25. Suppose you win a huge money in jackpot, would you still work? Ans- Depends on how much if left
after my shopping. / Never really thought about it... maybe, I will start a company then . / I always
wanted to encourage entrepreneurship and motivate youth in job creation. I guess I might invest the
money in some startups and still be working.

26. Why did you choose marketing or why do you want to be in the marketing department? Ans-
Marketing is  a fast-paced and exciting industry. It  is  perfect for people who  are  efficient and
strategic.  Marketing people need  to  have  excellent communication skills, which  can  learn by
taking  marketing  courses, and  need  to be able to relate to almost everyone around  them . I chose
marketing as it’s also a well paying career filled with variety, challenges and countless options to
advance in the industry. There are some benifits also like , Growing Job Opportunities,   Flexibility , Fast
Career Progression , Great Pay .

27. What do you know about Marketing work ? Ans- Marketing  executives develop and
oversee  marketing  campaigns to promote products and services. Executives are likely to  work  closely
with other employees in areas such as advertising, market research, production, sales and distribution.
