PERTAMINA E&P, MLN Central Processing Facility (CPF), Hassi Messaoud, Algeria.
Responsibilities:
- Work according to Work Permit system (PTW Issuing, performing…) and HSE standards.
- Operate, commission, and monitor plant units (Crude Separation, Distillation & Stabilization, Gas
Dehydration & Glycol Regeneration, Propane Refrigeration Unit, Oil Storage and Export, Gas
Compression and Re-injection, Produced Water Treatment and Re-injection, chemical injections).
- Coordinate with control room operator for start-Up/ Shutdown process equipment such as
pumps, compressors (electric and gas turbine driven compressors), generators, flare, instrument
air, nitrogen and utilities.
- Daily round checks of all Plant equipment and adjustment of process parameters such as
temperature, pressure, level, flow rate, and perform regular unit checks, change /swap running
equipment as per requirement.
- Provide assistance in Control Room Operations in Startup & Shutdown of process equipment &
units, pumps, compressors (reciprocating and centrifugal), reboilers & BMS, monitor and control
process variables from DCS/SCADA.
- Preparation/isolation of plant equipment for various maintenance jobs.
- Responsible for Logging process parameters and reports abnormalities.
- Ensure a thorough handover at beginning and end of shift.
- Understanding of safe operation limits, ESD, cause & effects diagram, safeguarding systems.
-Daily checks of all Plant equipment and pipeline operating conditions throughout the Plant.
- Environmental prudence of the highest standards as per company policy regarding prevention of
the accidental release of liquid or gaseous hydrocarbons Provide feedback to supervisor and
other operations staff of Plant and equipment characteristics for optimization of plant.
- First responder for isolation and notification of incidental spills or releases. Monitoring and
recording daily parameters( pressures and volumes,temperature,levels) from Plant equipment
<LP/MP/HP separators, Contactors ,stabilizer columns,LP/MP/HP &Reinjection
compressors(Volumetric compressors & Centrifugal compressors) , electric motor compressor
and gas turbine compressor, TEGlycol regeneration units ,propane compressor for enhanced
liquid recovery ,Reboiler, Heater ,Reboiler Pumps, Water injection Pumps, Water treatment unit,
utilities, nitrogen regeneration air compressors, storage tank, ….etc> sensing points to compare
against telemetry data for accuracy.
- Maintenance of equipment with assistance form plant mechanics for steady state operability.
- Assistance with gathering of samples of fluids and gases for laboratory analysis.
- Responsible for reporting any abnormalities in Plant data that may or may not be monitored by
telemetry.
- Demonstrating ability to conduct safety meeting on Plant operation tasks.
- Line item interpretation of monthly operations budget summary. Able to understand or explain
variances in budget expense and volume figures.
- Monitoring and steady state operations of chemical injection program for Plant applications.
- Confirm daily Plant volumes and pressures with verification of last well test and estimated
allocation against well. This includes produced and injected volumes and pressures.

Responsibilities:
 Works outside in the plant and is in constant communication with the Panel Operator and
Lead
 Operator directly and/or by radio in field operations such as making manual adjustments to
 Valves and equipment etc.
 Observe local instruments, gauges, and meters to verify conformance to standard operating
 practice
 Collect samples of various streams and delivers them to the laboratory.
 -Start and stop pumps, compressors and other equipment based on the direction of the panel
 Operator.
 check around the plant and ensures that the equipment is operating normally and that no
unusual
 Conditions exist.
 Responsible for preparing equipment for maintenance including isolation, draining, steaming,
and other procedures as required.
 Responsible for preparation such as plant isolation etc., for day-to-day maintenance work.
 Perform daily check and minor maintenance based on the check list etc. · Take appropriate
actions in accordance with Panel Operator and Lead Operator in case of emergency.
 Work directly with the foreign experts in the transfer of technical advice during the initial
period of operation.
 Receive firefighting training based on fire fighting training program preparing for emergency.
