membership and explain what all of them are which
can help the customers to identify which is most
suitable for them.

AND CORPORATE PROFILE
BFI's corporate standards are clear as it shows what the business is
and what they do. BFI is providing a free-trial allowing potential
customers try it out and give them an insight on how they work which
will attract more customers and increase the reputation of the
business.
BFI's corporate profile is done well as they have provided their
location and a link to their website. they also gave their logo so it
would help people to recognise their business. BFI also uses Twitter
to show what movies they're giving out now and uses it as an
advantage to advertise their business.
BFI'S LEGAL CONSTRAINTS
Intellectual property rights-The ownership of ideas. Intellectual property is a collection of ideas and concepts.
How it could impact BFI-having a collection of ideas in order to sell more to customers and have a wide variety for customers to look
at.
Copyright-Selective legal rights that secure works of authorship, arrangement or artistry. A copyright protects the publication, creation
or offer of the rights to an abstract, emotional, musical or imaginative work or PC program or to the use of a business print or name.
How it could impact BFI-BFI needs to make sure they don't use anyone's product as it will cause a bad reputation to them and may
receives fines.
Data Protection Act-It protects people and lays down rules about how data about people can be used.
How it could impact BFI-BFI needs to make sure that their employees and customer's personal information is protected with strong
passwords and screensaver because if they don't, this will lead to a decrease in customers and ruins the reputation of the business.
Freedom Of Information Act-provides public access to information held by public authorities.
How it could impact BFI-BFI'S customer will trust them more knowing the information they have given by and knows what they're
doing.
Computer Misuse Act-protects individual information held by associations from unapproved access and change). This refers to entering
a PC system without authorisation (hacking) Unauthorised access to PC materials with aim to carry out a further wrongdoing.
How it could impact BFI-BFI needs to make sure only those who need to use the computer has access to it with secured passwords.
Advertising Standards Authority (ASA)-Its job is to manage the content of commercials, sales promotions and direct marketing in the
UK by exploring complaints made about advertisements, sales promotions or direct promoting, and choosing whether such advertising
agrees to its advertising guidelines codes.
How it could impact BFI-when making their advertisements, they need to make sure it is appropriate and fits under the guidelines.
Ethical issues-organisation policies and codes of
practice governing the use of information

Internet policies-It guarantees employees utilise the web successfully, states what is and isn't
permitted, and sets up systems to limit dangers.
How it could impact BFI-making sure their employees use their web appropriately relating to the
business and task they're doing.
Whistle blowing-where workers report misconduct, frequently seen at work, in order to protect the
public.
How it could impact BFI-this would help BFI identify inappropriate use of behaviour and make a change
to it.
Staff handbooks-is a written collection and summary of an employer's policies, procedures and
practices.
How it could impact BFI-helps the employees to guide them if they forget the policies and will remind
them what they need to do.
Contracts of employment-a kind of contract used in labour law to attribute rights and responsibilities
between parties to a bargain.

vulnerability or lack of experience.
How it could impact BFI-need to make sure their advertising is
appropriate for kids and does not have anything that could affect them
mentally and physically.

such as, race, gender, religion etc.
Security issues
Monitoring of phone and email communications-checking emails, internet use (browser history)
and telephone use.
How it could impact BFI-able to check what their employees are doing and making sure everything is on board.
Confidentiality-includes a set of rules or a guarantee normally executed through confidentiality agreements that
limits access or places limitations on certain types of information.
How it could impact BFI-only those who need the information will have access to it as this way, it will be better
secured.
Information storage-Information storage is the part of the accounting system that keeps data open to the
information processors.
How it could impact BFI-making sure their information is stored securely whether its manual storage-they need
to make sure only a certain amount of people has access to it or if its electronic storage-they need to make sure
it is secured with passwords and installing anti-virus software.
Backup policies and procedures-is a pre-defined, set calendar whereby data from business applications, is
duplicated to a disk or tape to guarantee information recoverability in case of accidental information
cancellation, corruption data or an a system outrage.
How it could impact BFI-if their work such a new plan they have been planning to do or a final piece goes
missing, they will have another copy of it so this will be very helpful for them.
Increasing levels of technology-Increase your productivity. Technology allows businesses to speed up
production processes, Improve flexibility, Better customer service, Technology keeps businesses safe
How it could impact BFI-private information will be protected with better technology and their quality of the
movie and equipment will be played out better due to the advanced technology being used.
Operational costs-are the costs which are identified with the activity of a business, or to the activity of a device,
component, piece of equipment or facility.
How it could impact BFI-if BFI is suffering from major losses the operational costs will cause them a problem as
they may not have enough.
