National Election Schedule

Elections to state assemblies in Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Odisha, and by-elections for 21 seats in Tamil Nadu will follow the schedule of the 17th Lok Sabha elections in their respective states. Elections to Assemblies of Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim and Odisha, and the

bypolls to 21 Assembly seats in Tamil Nadu will follow the Lok Sabha election schedule in
their respective States.

The 17th Lok Sabha elections will be held in seven phases beginning April 11- May 19 and the votes will be
counted on May 23, the Election Commission of India announced on March 10. Elections to Assemblies of
Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim and Odisha, and bypolls to 18 Assembly seats in Tamil Nadu will
follow the Lok Sabha election schedule in their respective States. Bypolls to three Tamil Nadu Assembly seats
won't be held due to pending election petitions in court, State Chief Electoral Officer Satyabrata Sahoo said.
