Project Description
HR Systems is a project based on HR DWH; this includes HR and learning Data from sources like Oracle HR,
Learning Management System, and sensitive data like Salary, Compensation and Ratings of Employees and Basic
HR info and Learning information of Contingent workers and source is CDI(IDM is the application). This DWH
maintains person, assignment, work, payroll, organization and other details of employees of the client. Team
supports and maintains HR Universe built on the HR DWH. This DWH in turn provides the data for further
downstream applications.
BO team provides BI solutions for various headcount, learning, attrition, work force management, session C,
compensation reports and finance reports having various levels of hierarchy with security at different levels.

Description:
Applied security for all Human Resource information of GE Employees and GE Contingent workers data which we
made available for Reporting by GE HRM’s.
As ETL Developer created ~9 mappings as a part of this Security implementation as a part of HR data
available for reporting to HRM’s.
In ETL mapping start pulling roles info of HRM’s and access level which Source team is storing.
All roles we segregate based on the similarity on data wise (ex: Compensation, Headcount and leaning
roles).
We kept similar roles under each profile wise and same profiles we created in Central management
Console (CMC) application as user groups.
In SAP BO Universe level created different Restriction sets and defined Object Level Restrictions
(OLR’s) and Row Level Restriction (RLR’s) and assign privileges to all User groups which we created in
CMC application.
In RLR we defined the security based on 5 attributes (ex: Employee Country, Region, Function,
Organizations and Payroll).
Once users login to Webi and Deski application for reporting then that security will come in the report
SQL and will give the data in report as per the Particular role access and restrict the data where user do
not have access.
Awarded the Best Team Award for Q2 (2012) for implementing the role based security.
