Route of Exposure: Eyes. Skin. Inhalation. Ingestion.
Potential Health Effects:
Eye: Corrosive. W ill cause eye burns, perm anent tissue dam age, and
blindness.
Skin: Contact causes severe skin irritation and possible burns. m ay cause
perm anent skin dam age. Allergic reactions are possible.
May cause skin sensitization, an allergic reaction, which becom es evident
on reexposure to this m aterial.
Inhalation: May cause severe respiratory system irritation. May cause respiratory
sensitization with asthm a-like sym ptom s in susceptible individuals.
Ingestion: Harm ful if swallowed. Corrosive to the gastrointestinal tract.
Chronic Health Effects: Prolonged skin contact causes burns.
Repeated or prolonged inhalation m ay cause toxic effects.
Signs/Sym ptom s: Depending on solution concentration, m aterial m ay be corrosive to skin,
m ucous m em branes and eyes. Vapors m ay cause respiratory irritation.
