Tourism and Hospitality Management). This is the chosen site for it is the most
appropriate location for the said project and to the chosen beneficiaries.

Project Beneficiaries

department and Enverga students and the Bee Farm inside the campus.
Project Background
Imagine the existence of manmade plantation around every corner. You can
witness the beauty of green colored plants and breath fresh air. Nowadays the
existence of these sites are very few, instead humans take places for granted. These
pollution is evident which is cause by the abuse of our natural resources. In line
with this, the country has been experiencing with a few supply of our needs which
inflates prices. The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) releases inflation data
every 1st week of the month for the public to be aware of just how much prices
have changed compared to a year ago. The past few months of 2018, the inflation
address these problems and being able to help the chosen beneficiaries. With a
rising cost of vegetables here in the Philippines these past few months, (August
2018- onwards) this little action may help students and faculties of Manuel S.
Enverga University Foundation to produce their own dragon fruit in their own little
way by planting dragon fruit in a small space of crop located near the MSEUF
covered court. By then, we can help the community by teaching ourselves to plant
This price increase may affect the community because vegetables are one of
the primary needs of people for them to eat especially that it is the only nutritious
food that can be cooked without spending money too much.
This project may not help to stop the price increase of vegetables but it will
help the community to think an effective way of producing vegetables even in
school or in your backyard. By then, we can teach the community to have
vegetables placed on every household’s table without spending a large amount of
money due to the inflation.
Project Justification
The backyard is the best place for the Dragon Fruit to grow since it has been
a plantation of dragon fruit before but it has been left untouched. It has been
proven that there is a need of the project location to be enhanced. Additionally, the
dragon fruit, also known as pitahaya or strawberry pear, is a tropical fruit known
for its vibrant red skin and sweet, seed-speckled pulp. Its unique look and
acclaimed super food powers have made it popular among foodies and the health-
conscious.
Based on National Academy of Sciences, throughout human history, dragon
fruit have been the object of pervasive and at times dominant artistic and
intellectual interest. Dragon Fruit were important subjects from the earliest study
of life processes, and they were central to scientific study in the nineteenth and
early twentieth centuries.
Project Objectives
The primary focus and intention of DRAGON BEE Z: Search for the 7 Nutrients is
to continue the dragon fruit plantation at the chosen site of the proponents which
tends to help their beneficiaries. In line with the primary objective, they aim to
achieve the following specific objectives towards the end of the project:

Project Description
The project started into a piece of idea the proponents got after their
visitation. The project Dragon Bee Z: Search for the 7 Nutrients will start from
December 2018 until March 2019. The group will follow their implementation
plan to make sure that they are able to achieve their objectives on time. Although
this project is a trial and error process, we will give our full effort for the project
beneficiaries. Knowing that planting a dragon fruit is not that easy, each of the
member should assure that the plant will survive and have at least one fruit. Every
week the group will conduct an observation if there are any changes with the plant.
Additionally, to observe its condition for us to really make the project possible.
