The diagram below provides the standard data flow for the data interface between NE and
PrOptimaTM.
The Adaptor Network Object Model shown in the table below defines the Adaptor Managed
Object class parent-child relationship. Those relationships allow to use the “ROLL-UP” and
“DRILL-DOWN” capabilities in the PrOptimaTM client.
• “ROLL-UP” allows you to modify the table report by going up one or several levels to a
parent member of the dimension (members of a similar type are grouped together within a
dimension), e.g. BTS is the parent of Cell.
• “DRILL-DOWN” allows you to modify the table report by going down one or several levels
to a child member of the dimension, e.g. Cell is the child of BTS and also, to display the
KPI components. This enables you to change a Time dimension or a Network Element
dimension without doing a drag and drop from the Palette to the table report.
The PrOptimaTM Network Element Palette is the GUI component allowing to access the network
resource instances (Managed Object instances). The following screenshot presents how the
end-user can access those instances from the PrOptimaTM Network Element Palette.
