DRUG DISCUSSION

1. Aspirin – anti coagulant, treat Stroke patient, coronary syndrome


2. Clopidogrel – anti coagulant
3. Nitroglycerine – anti anginal drugs
4. Ranolazine – anti angina drugs
5. Hydrocortisone – corticosteroids
6. Omeprazole – antacid
7. Kalium Durule – potassium replacement
8. Losartan – antihypertensive
9. Calcium carbonate – electrolyte replacement for Calcium
10. Amlodipine – anti hypertensive drugs (calcium channel blocker)
11. Azithromycin – antibacterial drugs
12. Furosemide – diuretics, check BP before giving of drugs
13. Salbutamol – bronchodilators, causes dry mouth and palpitations
14. Ceftriaxone – anti bacterial drugs
15. Metformin – anti diabatic drugs – monitor blood sugar
16. Acetylcysteine - mucolytic
17. NaHCO3- anti ulcers/antacid
18. Levocetirizine – anti histamine, causes drowsiness
19. Ipratropium – bronchodilators
20. Prednisone – cortico steroids (anti inflammatory)
21. Digoxin – cardiac drugs, check pulse rate before giving, below 60 bpm refer to the doctor
22. Enalapril – ACE inhibitor anti hypertensive drugs
23. Vasartan – anti hypertensive (angiotensin II receptor blocker)
24. Hydralazine – anti hypertensive (vasodilators)
25. Dilthiazem – anti hypertensive (calcium channel blocker)

Note: almost all medications taken for long period cause hepatic and liver damage, antibacterial drugs
should be given 5 to 7 days depending on the type of antibacterials drugs or as prescribed by physician
