    Format and Procedure of the Midterm Exam of Spring 2020


    Marks and format of the midterm exam:
    1. There will be a written exam carrying 21 marks. There will be 3 questions each
    carrying 7 marks. All questions should be answered. Options may be given in any part
    of the question. In that case, it will be on similar topic and difficulty level covering the
    same Course Outcome (CO).
    2. Exam duration is 3 hours. Scanned answer script should be uploaded to the Google
    classroom within these 3 hours.
    3. Any one or more of the following may be adopted for the remaining 9 marks of the
    midterm exam. Course teacher will decide which evaluation method(s) will be adopted
    for these 9 marks and in what time the evaluation will take place.
    a. Presentation
    b. Viva
    c. Quiz
    d. Continuous Evaluation
    4. All the teachers and registered students will be provided G Suite for Education
    accounts under iiuc.ac.bd domain. Google classroom will be opened using this account
    and students should join the classroom using their G Suite accounts. Exams will be
    conducted in Google classroom opened in G Suite.

    Submission procedure of the answer script of written exam


    1. Questions will be available in the respective class of Google Classroom as soon as the
    exam time begins.
    2. Exam duration is 3 hours. Scanned answer script should be uploaded to the Google
    classroom within these 3 hours.
    3. Answers must be written on paper in the student's own handwriting.
    4. Standard paper size should be used so that it can be properly scanned.
    5. Course Code, Course Title, Semester, Section, Student ID, and Name of the Course
    Teacher should be clearly written on the first page. Student ID should be written on
    top of every page. Page number should be clearly written on each page.
    6. Copying from other students, helping other students during exam time or adopting any
    other unfair means is strictly prohibited and will be penalized as per IIUC rule.
    Answers will be checked for similarity with others and for plagiarized content.
    7. Hard copies of the answer scripts should be preserved by the students and should be
    submitted in the department when the university opens.
    8. All pages of the answer script should be scanned and converted to a single PDF file.
    PDF file name should be in the following format: ID_Course-Code (e.g. C193000_CSE-
    1234). Admit card (or ID card in its absence) should also be scanned.
    9. Handwriting should be clearly readable after scanning. Readability should be checked
    before uploading. Use of dark pen is advised.
    10. Scanned PDF file should be uploaded to the corresponding class of the Google
    Classroom.
    11. Scanned PDF file must be uploaded within the deadline. Late submission will not be
    accepted.
