DOST Technology Transfer Day

Promoting Research and Outstanding Milestones in

Innovation and Science for Entrepreneurship

With the passing of Republic Act 10055 or the Philippine Technology Transfer Act of
2009, the Department of Science and Technology has ramped up its efforts to build a
vibrant ecosystem for the transfer and adoption of Filipino technologies into the
mainstream market. This is achieved through robust partnerships and linkages among
scientists, researchers, innovators, inventors, entrepreneurs and industry players.

To highlight the journey of DOST and its partners in revolutionizing Filipino science and
technology to be more relevant and responsive to the needs of the local industry, the
DOST Technology Transfer Day is organized as an avenue to showcase the
Department’s portfolio of market-ready technologies. The event is a unique
opportunity for investors, enterprises and organizations to capitalize on the solutions
offered by our homegrown technologies in the areas of agricultural productivity,
industry competitiveness, countryside development, environment and disaster risk
reduction management, and quality healthcare.

This brief compilation offers a glimpse of what is in store at the DOST Technology
Transfer Day. We hope this will be a good place to start pursuing a meaningful
partnership with the DOST and making the most of the breakthroughs and innovations
brought forth by Filipino ingenuity.
