Khan Academy faced several challenges in developing its platform and content both in the past and future. Past challenges included the need for 1:1 computer access, reaching underserved remote regions, and scaling its website. Future challenges will be providing one-on-one support through mentoring and coaching, developing animations and interactive content, and creating a global credential for students that proves their knowledge and is recognized worldwide. Sustaining funding sources that balance operations with expansion will also be an ongoing challenge.
