    Background: Scabies as a skin disease caused by the Sarcoptes


    scabiei infestation and sensitization var. hominis. It easily
    transmitted. According to the hHealth Ministry of Indonesia in
    2008, it was the encounter of 5.6%-12.95%. This study aimed to
    analyze the number of incident and to describe the characteristics
    in the Haji Hospital of North Sumatra Province. Metdhology: This
    study is descriptive and design used is cross sectional study, in
    which researchers conduct research subject one time only at a
    certain time. Result: The result showed that the incidens were 50 mandiri
    patients and the characteristrics of scabies patients based on the
    age group the highest occured in 6-16 years old as many as 20
    patients (40%). Based on gender, male were 36 patients (72%).
    Based on the occupation the students were placed on the first rank
    with 28 patients (56%) and then the treatment of scabies was
    permetrin, it was used by all of the patients in this study 50
    patients (100%), Conclusion: The group of age was 6-16 years,
    the male sex was found more than other, the group job was
    students and then the treatment of the most widely in use for scabis
    is permethrin
    ABSTRACT Mandiri
    Background: Refractive disorder are abnormalities of the eye
    condition often occurs most. Myopia is one of the eye refractive
    disorders that have a high prevalence in the word. Objective: This
    study aimed to determine the incidence of myopia in RSU Haji
    Medan 2015. Methods: This research is descriptive research using
    secondary data, including the patient’s medical record. The
    sample entirely of the number and characteristic possessed by
    myopia patient which meet the criteria inclusion and exclusion.
    Results: The results showed the incidence of myopia in RSU Haji
    Medan 2015 the highest value at a mild degree of myopia by the
    number of 119 people with a percentage of 96%, the age range of
    18-39 years amounted to 89 people with a percentage of 72% and
    the female gender amounted to 84 people with a percentage of
    68%. Conclusion: There is the highest incidence at a mild degree
    (0-3 D), followed by age 18-39 years and female gender.
