Annexure – I

Technical specifications

(Bidder shall read this technical specification carefully and sign each and every page for acceptance.)

Description and Requirement of material:

technical specification.
2. Manufacturing, inspection, testing, supply of Duplex Stainless Steel double 200
end stud bolts (with 50 mm threads on each end) with two hexagonal nut,
and two washers for each stud with standard pitch full thread, Size M12 x
200 mm long as per attached technical specifications.
3. Manufacturing, inspection, testing, supply of Duplex Stainless steel double 200
end stud bolts (with 50 mm threads on each end) with two hexagonal nut,
and two washers for each stud with standard pitch full thread, Size M10 x
150 mm long as per attached technical specifications.
4. Manufacturing, inspection, testing, supply of Duplex Stainless steel 50
hexagonal head bolt with hexagonal nut, and washers for each stud with
standard pitch full thread, Size M14 x 75 mm long as per attached technical
specifications.
5. Manufacturing, inspection, testing, supply of Duplex Stainless steel 500
hexagonal head bolt with hexagonal nut, and washers for each stud with
standard pitch full thread, Size M16 x 100 mm long as per attached technical
specifications.

Note:

1. Rates quoted shall be inclusive of the testing, inspection and sample cost. No extra cost shall be
borne by NPCIL against testing.
2. All the material will be inspected at suppliers premises by NPCIL, supplier shall provide access to
NPCIL inspector at all reasonable time.
3. All the material shall be tested in NPCIL approved Lab/agency.
4. Supplier shall submit the QAP for approval before manufacturing/inspection.
5. In case of authorized dealer, a certificate from original manufacturer is to be submitted along with the
bid.

Material and manufacturing requirements:

1. All fasteners shall have bright finish without any scale.


2. Material of nut, bolt and washers shall confirm to UNS 31803.
3. Dimensions of Fasteners shall be confirming IS 4218.

Material testing requirements:


All the material shall be inspected and tested as per the following requirements:

A. If supplier is manufacturer or authorized stockiest of approved manufacturer and original co-


relating manufacturers test certificates or available:

Minimum 5% from each lot (Same Heat, Size and Heat Treatment Condition) shall be tested for
mechanical properties in NPCIL approved Lab. Testing results shall meet the specification
requirements.
B. If supplier is not an authorized stockiest of approved manufacturer and/or original
manufacturer’s TCs for material are not available:

- Chemical analysis (non destructive type i.e. PMI) for all items (100%) shall be done by NPCIL
approved lab/agency.

- 10 % sample at random covering all sizes and shapes from PMI accepted lot shall be tested
for mechanical properties in NPCIL approved Lab. Testing results shall meet the specification
requirements.

• Supplier shall prepare QAP and submit the QAP for approval before manufacturing/inspection.
The required inspection reports and test certificates are to be submitted with the supply of
material.
• The Purchaser or his authorized agency shall have access to the supplier’s premises at all
reasonable times and to the extent necessary to assess compliance with the provisions of the
said programme and this Specification. .

Preservation and Packaging For Shipment

The Manufacturer shall not ship the materials without obtaining the clearance for shipment by the
Purchaser or his Authorized Agency.

The Supplier shall be responsible for preparing, preserving and packing the materials supplied to this
Specification, to protect them against corrosion and damage of any kind during shipment to the
destination and also during storage at site.

Each size of fasteners shall be individually packed in separate boxes in assemble sets (i.e. in sets of
nut, bolt and washers) and labeled clearly indicating type of fasteners, size, and quantity with Item
no. and PO no.
