Who is Demi Lovato?
Disorder? is that the mood isn’t severe enough to cause problems with
the person working or socializing with others, doesn’t require
hospitalization, and there are never any psychotic features
during the episode.

Bipolar I Disorder and Demi

• Demi Lovato has Bipolar Disorder, specifically Bipolar I
Disorder
• She was diagnosed with bipolar disorder at 22 years old while
she was in rehab.
• During her manic phases, she would stay up until 5 AM
• During that time, she would write 7 songs in one night
• Eventually, she would come crashing down and be severely
depressed.
• She began to self-medicate which then led to an addiction for
her with alcohol and drugs.
• She still struggles with an eating disorder.
• Bipolar I Disorder
• There must be a Manic episode lasting at least one
week
• During the Manic episode, three of the following
symptoms must be present
• Inflated Self Esteem
