OBJECTIVES

Students will be able to:

 Demonstrate their understanding of constellation patterns and earths movement by


writing and illustrating a legend about a specific constellation.
 Name the constellations and which constellations are visible from earth during
summer, spring, autumn, and winter.
 Research constellations on computer and in the library

KNOWLEDGE OF STUDENTS

 5-PS2-1--Support an argument that the gravitational force exerted by Earth on objects


is directed down.

 5-ESS1-1--Support an argument that differences in the apparent brightness of the sun


compared to other stars is due to their relative distances from Earth.
