Test and Feedback

The document provides feedback from 5 participants on the author's prototype for a customer service simulation. There were some glitches and unclear wording, but overall the participants enjoyed the presentation. The feedback highlighted areas for the author to improve their public speaking skills and clarity when creating materials for others. The author learned that outside perspectives are valuable for improvement even if critical at times, and that it is okay to ask for help when needed.

Test/Feedback

Breana V

Abstract

I had put together a survey to gather the information of my test audience for this assignment. I

left the survey open for them to personally type their opinions so I could truly get their honest

feedback. I used google forms to obtain this information. I chose google forms because it gave

easy access to my participants and allowed them to review freely.

Test/Feedback

I asked 5 people to take part in testing out my prototype and after to leave feedback so if I

needed to do an assignment like this again, I would know what to improve on. They each gave

their honest opinions on how it was and if there was any glitches in my presentation to be

worked out. I asked people with experience in working in customer service.

Participants

Jose- works in a restaurant

Andrea-works in a hotel

Marc - works with people

Melanie- teacher

Allana -works with insurance

I picked each of these people because they have experience with people and have genuinely

good hearts to allow them to fully give honest feedback. There were a few glitches in my

prototype with functionality and confusion with wording. I have room to improve upon

considering I have never done anything like this before. However, I did get positive feedback on

them enjoying the presentation overall and thought it was realistic to the customer service

experience at times. Although, my presentation displays one way that a situation can go this is

not always the case. At my place of work, I deal with a lot of amazing customers that I look

forward to seeing every day!

The solution that I came up with was that it is more important to be kind than to be right at

times. There will be customers who will challenge you but, you got to learn to brush it off. Each

customer is different in many ways but something that they all have in common is the fact that

they are all human leading unique lifestyles. Our job as customer service workers is to connect
with these customers and make them feel special so that they will return again and again. I have

customers that I see on an everyday basis and it brings joy to me to know that they come back

every day to see us. So, my solution would be kindness on both sides of this transaction. Also, I

would like to start letting customers know when I appreciate their kindness. I have customers all

the time that tell me that I have a sweet voice and that I have a friendly face. Those little

comments make all the difference.

When a customer goes out of their way to make us feel special it profoundly changes our days.

By no means am I saying that I think each customer must give their 100% all the time. How can

we expect that when we are not 100% all the time? We are all only human so mistakes will be

made, and bad days will be had. That is also the beautiful part that we all need something from

each other… kindness. Although, that does sound naïve it is the truth and if you do not believe

me try being kind to someone today and see all the difference it makes in their behavior and

attitude.

My prototype was far from perfect, but I am learning about this technology era. I may be young

but, I still do not really know the first thing about any of the elements we have been earning thus

far. For example, I did not know how to connect the buttons in my prototype to different places

in the presentation to do that took research along with trial and error. Also, I was struggling with

which paths to put into this presentation considering I was nervous it would sound silly or

unrealistic. I know that some of the statements in my prototype were unclear but, I believe that is

because when you are creating a product it makes sense to you. Sometimes, I forget I am making

these for the use of others and need to clarify more sometimes.
In conclusion, I am incredibly pleased with how this turned out and I look forward to doing

assignments like this again in the future! Also, since I have good feedback to grow upon that

will help greatly as well. I learned something important about myself through these two

assignments I learned that sometimes others opinions sting especially when you put a lot of work

into something but, also I learned that it’s alright to ask for help. Everyone needs help

sometimes and we all must be alright with asking for it.
