Childhood Diseases: By: Criszelle Angela Darroca Grade 3-Humility

This document discusses common childhood diseases including pneumonia, gastroenteritis, common colds, and measles. It outlines the risk factors and effects of each disease. Pneumonia can be triggered by air pollution exposing a child's lungs to viruses, bacteria, or fungi. Gastroenteritis develops when a child ingests dirty water containing bacteria that inflame the intestines. Colds are more likely if a child has inadequate vitamins and minerals, weakening their immune system. Measles occurs if a child does not complete vaccinations, as the rubeola virus causes fever, cough, and a spreading rash.
