1 General information
AC-Win XP is the first product for which both Hicom 300 E/HiPath 4000 enhanced attendant console types (AC-
Win 5.0 and AC-Win MQ 3.0) were put on one product CD ROM. During installation, you can decide which AC-
Win type should be installed (see figure).
Both enhanced attendant console types (AC-Win 5.0 and AC-Win MQ 3.0) run exclusively on the Microsoft Win-
dows XP© Professional operating system.
AC-Win 5.0 supports the following communication platforms:
● HICOM 300 E V2.0
● HICOM 300 E V3.0
● HICOM 300 E V3.1
● HICOM 300 H V1.0
● HiPath 4000 V1.0
Only the color settings are adjusted in the Windows XP operating system. The driver generated for Windows 2000
can also be used for the AC-Win PCI plug-in card under Windows XP.
After installing the hard disk of the AC-Win PC, the following directories are generated:
● \ACDiag Diagnose Tool (Tracer) for AC-Win
● \Bin The AC-Win program files
● \Data Default configuration files for AC-Win (for example, color settings, ring tones, etc.)
● \Documents All manuals of the installed AC-Win types
● \Language Installed language packages (user interfaces, online help)
● \Log Log files generated by AC4-Diag, notebook and Redial
● \Template Directory of all possible AC-Win windows
● \Workspace Default and user-specific Workspace files
Note: Not all current keyboard types have room for these templates. It is therefore recommended to use the
KBPC M1multimedia keyboard provided for AC-Win (see
HTTP://sag.fujitsu-siemens.com under Top SAG -> Sales Packages for ICN -> AC-Win).
IMPORTANT: To operate the OptiSet handset on AC-Win, the pins for the microphone (pins 1 and 4) on the con-
nection cable to the handset cradle had to be interchanged.
Therefore, a SET 400 handset cannot be operated on a cradle for the OptiSet handset and vice versa (see also
Serviceinfo INF-03-000119).
The following new order items were introduced for HiPath 4000 (AYA197/204/165, AYK197):
All AC-Win XP manuals in the Central European language variants can also be ordered separately under the fol-
lowing part numbers via PRISMA:
2 Hardware Installation
IMPORTANT: Please note the minimum requirements on the PC listed in Section 1.2.
Hardware Installation
Remove the network plug before installing the UP0/E card in the PC as a safety precaution.
1. Install the AC-Win card in a free PCI slot on the PC.
2. Connect the AC-Win card to the Hicom 300 H or HiPath 4000 communication platform (SYS slot) using
the cable supplied. The UP0/E card has a total of 4 external connection options in the following order:
– SYS (System) UP0/E interface to Hicom
– HA (Handrest) connection for handset cradle, where the handset or headset is plugged into the
cradle
– OUT (Tape out) analog connection for an optional tape recorder for recording calls
– IN (Tape in) analog connection for an optional announcement device (for example, sound card
with AC-Voice application)
3. Connect the handset to the AC card (HA slot)
4. Install the Windows XP driver.
– NOTE: Please install the driver precisely as described below. Other methods do not work.
– Once the AC-Win card has been installed, the following message appears on initial start-up of the
PC: "New Hardware found (Multimedia controller)". The Hardware Wizard starts searching for new
hardware.
– Cancel this search with "Cancel".
– Using Windows Explorer, for example, start the program "InstallACCard.exe" which is located on
the AC-Win XP installation CD ROM (see directory "...\AC card Driver\install").
– The message "Installing Driver" appears.
– Once this message box closes, the driver is correctly installed.
5. Reboot the PC.
– Check whether the orange LED on the back of the UP0/E card is flashing. This indicates that the
UP0/E card is operational.
– The red LED should never be illuminated during operation. If it is illuminated, there is a problem
with the hardware or firmware. The UP0/E card can however continue to work. The problem
should be investigated.
The PC does not require any further configurations or hardware settings.
For information on installing the AC-Win XP application software, see Section 4.
NOTE: Please observe any notes in the "Readme.txt" file, which is located on the AC-Win installation CD ROM (
...\Program Files\ACWinxxx ).
There is a specially tailored firmware for AC-Win on these AC-Win cards which must be updated from time to time
(error correction, OS and PC adjustments).
The firmware is released as PRB (pre-revision bug fix) MSC07348 and is stored in KMOSS under
Enterprise service Knowledgebase -> Clients & Devices -> Attendant -> AC-Win -> Unassigned to Versions ->
V30113-H43-D1-001 -> MSC07347
Ranges:
The SLMO Board is connected if the range between PC and HICOM/HiPath is up to 1 km.
For ranges up to 8 km, PC and HICOM/HiPath must be connected to the SLMO Board with a UCON adapter.
Example:
ADD-ACSU: atndno, pen, dpln, cos, lcosv, spdc1, spdc2, lang, ntvf, ACTYPE=ACWIN;
An attendant console must be assigned to an attendant console group before it can be activated. Attendant con-
sole groups are set up and modified with the AMO VFGR.
Country Codes:
To configure certain country variants, the appropriate code must be set up per AMO. This code is registered on
the UP0/E card when the attendant console is activated:
4 Software Installation
IMPORTANT: Please note the minimum requirements on the PC listed in Section 1.2.
Software Installation
1. Start the PC (if you have not already done so).
2. Insert the AC-Win XP installation CD ROM.
Please ensure that no other applications are open during installation.
3. Start the "setup.exe" file on the CD ROM or DVD drive with the "Run..." command on the start bar (or
use Windows Explorer):
4. Select the attendant console type (Double Queue AC-Win or Multiple Queue AC-Win) you would like
to install and click the "Install" button.
Note: It is not possible to install or operate both attendant console types on one PC at the same time.
5. Click "Next".
6. Place a check mark to select whether you would like to have AC-Win Diagnose Software and the TAPI
dialing function installed (detailed information in the Administration Manual).
7. Click "Next".
8. Specify the destination folder in which you would like Setup to install AC-Win XP. You can choose the
recommended folder or use the "Browse" button to specify a different folder.
9. Click "Next".
10. Specify a name for the program folder on the Windows XP user interface or leave the suggested name.
14. Now specify which language variants you would like to install for the AC-Win XP user interface.
15. Simply click on the available languages in the "Languages" window on the left. The languages to be in-
stalled are then displayed in the "Default language" window on the right.
You can now click on a language in the right window to specify the language in which AC-Win will start
up.
16. Click "Next".
Check in the next window again that all the information you entered is correct.
The "Back" button allows you to go back one step and correct your entries.
17. If all the information is correct, click "Next".
The installation program then starts to copy the necessary data onto your hard disk. This can take some
time depending on your type of computer.
After all the data has been copied, the following window appears.

● ASC 3.0 for HICOM 300 E V3.0 / HICOM 300 H V1.0 (IM)
● ASC 4.0 for HiPath 4000 V1.0
Both these versions support AC-Win 5.0.
NOTE: ASC 3.0 and ASC 4.0 do not support AC-Win MQ 3.0.
AC-Win 5.0 and AC-Win MQ 3.0 will then support ASC 5.0.
